Champagne Leclerc-Mondet from Champers Limited

In 1952 Henri and Renée Leclerc planted the first vines in Chassins and went on to produce their very own champagne in the early 1960s. Since then the quality of their product has ensured the reputation and continued success of the Leclerc –Mondet brand |

Their son Christian and his wife Jacqueline ran the family business and continued to build and strengthen it using traditional champagne making methods. The continuing quality of the champagne they produced led to increased sales and encouraged them to create new blends.
Christian was involved in a tragic accident and died aged only 38. Jacqueline continued their work and she and her sons Cedric and Fabien have continued the family business.
Cedric is a winegrower and Fabien is an oenologist. Their combined skills and experience ensure the continuing quality and reputation of Leclerc – Mondet champagne

Champers
offer vintage Leclerc Mondet 2000 in 75cl bottles:-
“ a moderately size bead, quite vigorous at first,
which settles down to something more lazy with time in the
glass. The nose is very appley, with an aromatic, baked apple
quality, with a gentle, nutty nuance on the side. Soft and
creamy on the palate at entry, with a firmer quality through
the midpalate, with a baked, roasted flavour too, and a gentle
mousse, this is good. Towards the finish it shows more structure,
with a firmer acidity apparent here” - The Wine
Doctor
Champers
also offer Lecelerc Mondet "Tradition" Brut in half
bottles.
Leclerc
- Mondet ‘Tradition’ brut.
Its
fine bubbles complement the pale yellow colour of this
wine. Fruits and floral aromas with hints of citrus,
lemon grass and orange blossom please the nose and combine
perfectly with elegance and freshness on the palate.
Ideal as an aperitif and for a quiet drink with a friend
